Executive Development Centre organizes a series of leadership training courses for the senior management and executives from September to December 2016.
Training on Leadership in Action II – “ What Makes a Great Leader” was successfully held on 10th September 2016 at HSMC, followed by the first session delivered in July to a group of Google EYE Program finalists. This second session was delivered by Prof. James Tsien, Independent Non-Executive Director of the Bank of Shanghai (HK) Ltd., former Group Executive Director of Hutchison Port Holdings Limited & Adjunct Professor of Hang Seng Management College; Mr. Sunny Wong, Executive Director, Tibet Water Resources Ltd. & former Chairman of Carlsberg Greater China; and Dr. Victor Ng, Senior VP, Global Top 5 bank.
During the training, the 3 speakers shared their invaluable professional experience on leadership with the participants, who were inspired by their knowledge and hearty sharing in helping to nurture the new leaders particularly working in multi-cultural environment. With over 40 years of experience with multinational corporations and repeated track records of leading global projects, Prof James Tsien shared his experience in multi-national corporations. Mr. Sunny Wong, who was once described as “Probably the Best Leadership with the World” by HR Magazine (March 2008 edition), talked about heartfelt leadership with some illustration from his real life case studies. Participants gained insight from the tactics to connect and influence people around. Dr. Victor Ng has rich experience in banking and finance industry with remarkable achievement in handling major M& A projects. He shared his views on his leadership skills in a complex Sino-US cultural organization, and how to develop leaders through the 5E model.
